Ellary and Castle Sween Estates are practically surrounded by the sea, and wherever you are staying, the sea will not be very far away. Boats of almost any size likely to be towed by a car can easily be launched at either Ellary or Castle Sween. Tractors or estate vehicles are available to help with this if necessary. A wide variety of craft operate out of Castle Sween Bay and Loch Sween itself is a real explorers loch with its many inlets, creeks and islands. Both Loch Sween and Loch Caolisport are perfectly suitable for small sailing craft, dinghies etc. A word of warning however, only experienced sailors would venture beyond the mouths of the lochs.
